Your impact at HeadFirst Group

As Senior Financial Controller, you will share responsibility for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of the financial administration for our Dutch and Belgian entities. You will play an important role in the monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes, while ensuring that financial reporting complies with IFRS standards.

Looking beyond the numbers is an important part of this role. This involves analyzing variances, asking critical questions, and translating financial information into clear insights for the Finance Manager and other stakeholders. Together with three other controllers, the Finance Manager, and the Accounting team, you will identify and implement opportunities to improve processes. Although the role does not involve formal line management, it does include a mentoring component through sharing knowledge, supporting other controllers with technical questions, and providing clear direction when needed.

As Senior Financial Controller, you will help maintain a strong financial foundation while contributing to its further development.

What will you be doing?

• Coordinating and carrying out the monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes for our Dutch and Belgian entities;

• Preparing, reviewing, and analyzing financial reports and management information;

• Ensuring that financial reporting complies with Dutch GAAP and IFRS;

• Reviewing and verifying general ledger entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and reporting data;

• Analyzing variances, risks, and financial trends;

• Translating financial information into clear insights for the Finance Manager and other stakeholders;

• Identifying and implementing improvements to financial processes, internal controls, and systems;

• Supporting internal and external audits;

• Guiding and supporting other controllers on technical accounting and financial control matters;

• Working with financial systems such as AFAS and Workday.
