To drive this evolution, we're looking for an experienced Java Engineer to ensure delivery excellence in a fast-paced, Agile, and international environment.Â
Are you an experienced Java developer eager to build robust systems? Headfirst Group is seeking a Senior Java Developer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will focus on designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance Java applications, contributing significantly to our core infrastructure and backend solutions.
Your Responsibilities:
· Be part of the development of scalable Java-based backend services.
· Develop automation and integrations to streamline onboarding and operations worldwide.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system specifications.
· Optimize application performance and ensure system stability.
· Drive best practices in coding, testing, and deployment.

Vacation pay and days off
You will receive 8.33% vacation pay and are entitled to 27 vacation days per year based on full-time employment. This gives you plenty of time to recharge your batteries.

Hybrid working
We support hybrid working and apply a 60/40 split, whereby full-time employees spend three days at the office and two days working from home.

Depending on your performance and that of HeadFirst Group, you may receive an annual bonus of one or two months' salary.

You will receive a monthly allowance for internet, a vitality budget, a contribution towards lunch, and support in setting up your home office.

What we expect from you
· Have a solid understanding of backend (Java 21, Spring Boot, Hibernate)
· Have a strong commitment to both high-quality, maintainable code and effective delivery
· Experience with RESTful APIs, monorepo architecture, and cloud services.
· Familiarity with databases and data integration techniques.
· Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset.
· Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
