Make an impact in a growing organization

Do you get energy from combining solid financial reporting and control with analysis and forward-looking insights? And do you enjoy working in a compact environment where Finance directly supports decision-making? Then this role at ProUnity in Brussels could be the next logical step in your Finance career.

At ProUnity, you work in a small and growing organization where responsibilities come together. You contribute to a strong financial foundation while also looking ahead. You support management with insights, help further structure Finance & Administration, and play an active role in improving financial steering and business performance.

Your impact at ProUnity

In this Financial & Business Controller position, you are responsible for safeguarding the quality, reliability, and consistency of financial reporting while also strengthening business control. You translate financial data into analyses and insights that help steer the organization.

You work closely with Finance, Operations, and Management and act as a sparring partner on financial and business-economic topics. You ensure that the month-end close and reporting processes are well organized and that figures are accurate, consistent, and clearly understood. In addition, you analyze trends, prepare forecasts and scenarios, and translate numbers into concrete insights, risks, and improvement proposals.

Within Finance, you work alongside AR/AP colleagues who handle operational activities such as payments and accounts receivable and payable. This allows you to focus fully on financial oversight, reporting, analysis, and control rather than transactional processes. The role fits a smaller organizational context where you are broadly involved and can truly make an impact with a hands-on mindset.

Why ProUnity & HeadFirst Group?

ProUnity is part of HeadFirst Group and plays an important role within the group’s digital talent ecosystem. Through our vendor management platform and talent marketplace, we support organizations in Belgium and across Europe in sourcing, managing, and collaborating with freelancers, suppliers, and service providers.

As the organization continues to grow, the importance of strong financial and business control increases. There is a clear need for reliable figures, structured reporting, and deeper analysis. This role has been created to support that development and contributes directly to the sustainable strengthening of Finance within the local country organization.

You are based in Brussels and work closely with colleagues in Hoofddorp and London. From time to time, you will also visit these locations for alignment and meetings.

What will you do?

  • Coordinate and monitor parts of the month-end close and financial reporting

  • Safeguard the quality, completeness, and consistency of financial data

  • Strengthen financial control and further develop business control

  • Improve Finance & Administration processes from a control and reporting perspective

  • Prepare and analyze financial and operational reports

  • Perform analyses, forecasts, and scenario modeling

  • Translate figures into insights, risks, and concrete improvement actions

  • Contribute to further standardization and professionalization within the country organization

  • Collaborate closely with AR/AP colleagues without being responsible for operational processing
