As a Senior Account Manager (Account Director/Key Account Manager) at HeadFirst Group, you will be responsible for the strategic management and development of complex accounts within the Dutch utility sector. You will operate at the highest level with clients and advise them on external hiring, workforce strategy, governance, and compliance. You will work in a context of long-term programs related to energy transition, digitization, and asset management, where relationships, continuity, and substantive added value are decisive factors.
In this role, you will combine strategic account management with final responsibility for commercial growth, contractual continuity, and the further expansion of strategic accounts. The primary focus will be on deepening and broadening relationships with existing clients, further establishing HeadFirst Group as a strategic knowledge partner. At the same time, you will play a role in selective growth with new clients, for example in tenders and the renewal of framework agreements.

In this role, you will build sustainable, strategic partnerships within the utility sector and take charge of a portfolio of complex, long-term accounts. You know how to translate complex hiring issues into scalable and future-proof solutions and drive long-term commercial growth, contractual continuity, and customer satisfaction.
You will have a direct impact on your clients' businesses by advising them on market developments, legislation and regulations, and the optimal deployment of external talent. In addition, you will actively contribute to the positioning and growth of HeadFirst Group within the utility sector. With your strategic approach and commercial clout, you will ensure stable relationships and new opportunities.
What will you do?
Managing and developing strategic accounts within the Dutch utility sector;
Developing and implementing account and key account strategies focused on long-term growth, contract renewals, and deepening relationships with existing clients;
Advising clients on external hiring strategies, market developments, and relevant laws and regulations;
Negotiating contracts, rates, and framework agreements;
Leading business reviews and strategic sessions at executive and senior management level;
Managing and coaching account teams on content, commerce, and collaboration;
Monitoring KPIs, SLAs, compliance, and commercial objectives;
Contributing to tenders, RFP processes, and sector strategy;
Positioning and further establishing HeadFirst Group as a strategic knowledge partner within the utility sector.

You are an experienced commercial professional who takes ownership of complex accounts and feels comfortable in a strategic role within a demanding B2B environment. You combine relationship management with in-depth knowledge and know how to capitalize on commercial opportunities in a sustainable manner. In addition, you bring the following to the table:
HBO or WO working and thinking level;
At least 5 years of experience as a senior account manager, account director, or key account manager in a complex B2B environment;
In-depth knowledge of external hiring, compliance, and chain responsibility, including experience with MSP and/or broker structures;
Experience with complex contracts, framework agreements, and commercial negotiations;
Strong stakeholder management and experience with discussions at tactical and strategic levels (including CIO, CTO, HR and procurement management, program managers);
Commercially strong with a consultative selling approach;
Excellent command of the Dutch and English languages.
