AI Product Manager (Agentic AI)
Location: Netherlands or UK | Full-time |
Are you a Product Manager with hands-on experience in AI—someone who thrives at the intersection of operational complexity, agent design, and real business impact? Do you enjoy working closely with engineers, not just directing them, while driving discovery, shaping roadmaps, and making confident go/no-go decisions based on evaluation results?
We are looking for an AI Product Manager to oversee the entire lifecycle of AI agent development for HeadFirst Group’s Agentic AI Strike Team. In this role, you will lead a dedicated team of AI/ML and platform engineers in building and deploying intelligent agents that automate operational workflows across the organization.
About the Role
You will be part of HeadFirst Group’s CPTO organization, working within the Agentic AI Team alongside AI/ML and platform engineers. The team uses a modern AI stack built on Databricks and Mosaic AI, and collaborates closely with the broader Data & AI division and an active AI Council.
This is a foundational role—you aren’t joining an established AI product team; you’re building one. That means real autonomy, real accountability, and a direct link between the decisions you make and the results the business sees. HeadFirst Group has AI leaders at every level of the organization who are actively building with AI. You’ll be in good company.
Your Impact
You are responsible for the AI product backlog and the entire agent lifecycle: discovery, hypothesis validation, agent design, prompt authoring, deployment, evaluation, and post-launch iteration. Your primary focus is the Shared Service Center—contracting, invoicing, and compliance operations that are highly manual and ripe for automation.
The challenge isn’t the AI itself; it’s breaking down complex operational processes into clearly defined automation candidates and deciding what should be built by the strike team versus what belongs on the platform. It’s up to you to define and defend that boundary, in close collaboration with our platform product teams.
You’re in the room with engineers—writing and refining prompts, curating evaluation datasets, and determining when agents are ready for production. At the same time, you apply product management principles to keep the team focused on results, aligning stakeholders across the Chief Product and Technology Officer (CPTO), operations, and the Chief Business Officer (CBO). As you deliver measurable results, your scope expands to encompass the broader vision for the agent marketplace.
What You Will Do
• Oversee the AI product backlog and agent development lifecycle for the Agentic AI Strike Team.
• Break down operational workflows into individual tasks and determine which tasks will be automated by the strike team and which will be built into the platform.
• Lead continuous discovery by observing real-world workflows, interviewing stakeholders, running rapid prototypes, and validating hypotheses.
• Rank pain points by frequency and severity; evaluate whether they can be resolved using AI versus workflow redesign, RPA, or platform investment.
• Create and refine production-ready prompts—system instructions, input/output contracts, and worked examples—with the same rigor as code.
• Create structured evaluation sets and choose the right balance of human review and automated scoring.
• Define three-tier success metrics: what the user experiences, what the business measures, and what the model delivers.
• Lead decisions regarding product launches and rollouts; oversee post-launch monitoring, feedback triage, and continuous iteration.
• Drive alignment among stakeholders across product, engineering, operational leadership, and the AI Council.
• Provide governance input to the Citizen AI Developer program; ensure responsible AI practices, including awareness of the EU AI Act.
What We Offer
• A high-profile, key role in HeadFirst Group’s transformation into an AI-powered Workforce-as-a-Service platform.
• The opportunity to build a new team and department from the ground up.
• Direct impact on operational efficiency and business model innovation through the deployment of AI agents.
• Access to the latest Databricks and Mosaic AI capabilities in a production environment.
• A CPTO organization with AI leaders at every level, that values structured thinking and long-term platform health.
What We Expect From You
• 5+ years of product management experience, with at least 2 years in an AI/ML, data, or automation context.
• Strong discovery skills — you observe real-world workflows, work closely with users, and break down complexity into structured automation opportunities.
• Hands-on with AI tools: every day, you prototype, test, and iterate. You work with AI, not just manage it.
• Strong understanding of large language models (LLMs), agent-based AI, RAG pipelines, prompt engineering, and agent design patterns.
• Able to contribute to decisions regarding agent architecture and evaluation alongside engineers.
• Familiarity with the MLOps lifecycle: training, evaluation, deployment, monitoring, and iteration.
• Understanding of AI evaluation frameworks such as LLM-as-Judge, RAGAS, or Quotient AI.
• Experience with outcome-based OKRs, hypothesis-driven development, and iterative delivery.
•Awareness of the implications of the EU AI Act and responsible AI practices in a context involving extensive use of personal data.
Nice to Have
•Experience in HRTech, staffing, workforce management, or shared service operations.
• Completion of or enrollment in a recognized AI Product Management program.
•Familiarity with Databricks, Unity Catalog, or Mosaic AI from a product perspective.
•Experience with process mining or operational analytics as a basis for an automation strategy.
• Bring in-house capabilities that were previously provided by external partners.
