If you take this role, here's what will be true 12 months from now
Our CDP is live on Databricks and is engaging audiences across multiple channels. The identity-resolution model you built handles deterministic and probabilistic stitching across our ecosystem and brand portfolio.
AI agents draft audiences, briefs, copy variants, and stakeholder reports—and you’ve measurably improved the quality of their output by taking charge of human-in-the-loop quality assurance. When a user triggers an event, that signal reaches every activation channel within four hours.
The global and talent marketing teams across the regions launch new campaigns on their own. Direct sourcing audiences are live, and we can measure the increase in bid-to-placement by segment.
The position we're hiring for
We don’t need a generalist. We need a senior operator who excels at one thing: orchestrating identity, audiences, and activation on a Databricks-native data platform—writing the PySpark and SQL code that makes it work—while raising the bar on an AI agent layer that drafts work for you.
Why this role exists
HeadFirst Group is building a new role from the ground up within the Product organization. The goal is to quickly leverage our data to drive product-led growth across our marketplaces and brand portfolio, starting with the rollout of direct sourcing and direct fulfillment, global campaigns by job category, and personalization at scale.
This is not a marketing campaign role. The global marketing team and the talent marketing teams across the regions are responsible for content, channels, and campaign execution. You provide the data foundation, activation tools, and experimentation capabilities that enable those teams to consistently scale performance.
You are the first person hired for the team. Your manager oversees strategy, architecture, vendor selection, stakeholder relations, and the agent roadmap. You are responsible for the activation layer—configuration, identity, events, and the day-to-day quality of the output from the agents.
How your time is divided
CDP configuration and audience design — 50%.
Identity resolution and event taxonomy — 25%.
Event tracking across our platforms — 15%.
QA agent and prompt iteration — 10%.
The agents you'll be working with
By the time you get started, three agents are already up and running in production. Five more will go live within your first six months. They draft target audiences, briefs, copy variants, segmentation logic, prioritization decisions, and stakeholder reports—the kind of work that used to keep an entire team busy.
Your job involves the 20% of judgment that agents can’t handle: verifying identity, making consent decisions, and determining whether an agent’s output is good enough to release. You are the human in the loop for every QA cycle. If reading “AI agents draft your work” makes you feel relieved, this isn’t the role for you.
What "good" means to us
We hold ourselves to the same high standards as teams that have publicly mastered warehouse-native MarTech: composable stacks, the GTM engineering shift, and operations as orchestration. We notice when a list of marketing engagement tools quietly strays from the guidelines we’ve established. We debate identity stitching. We believe a job description should be a clear statement of intent, not a checklist.
What you bring to the table / What you can show us
A reverse-ETL flow you deployed to production. Not a training environment; production.
A DBT model you wrote that was deployed to production. Not a course you took—code that went live.
A PySpark job you deployed to Databricks production — pipeline code, not a notebook demo.
An identity-resolution decision you made—deterministic versus probabilistic—along with the trade-off you accepted and what went wrong later.
Here's an example of correcting AI-generated text that would have been published incorrectly, based on what your judgment flagged.
The stack you'll be working with
-Data platform: Databricks
-CDP / activation: Hightouch / GrowthLoop
-ESP: HubSpot for B2B; Braze and Iterable are currently being evaluated for Business-to-Talent.
-CMS: Sanity Headless.
What we offer
€6,500–€8,500 gross monthly base salary (Grade 7), senior position, plus performance bonus.
Job Family: Product.
Full-time contract — initially a one-year fixed-term contract, with the intention of converting it to a permanent contract.
27 vacation days, with the option to purchase additional days.
8.33% vacation pay and a tax-free pension.
Hybrid work with flexible hours and a work-from-home allowance.
Modern office in Hoofddorp.
Access to HeadFirst Academy and internal training programs.
AI tools included by default — Claude, Cursor, whatever you need.
Vendor budget has already been allocated — you build it, you don't sell it internally.
How to apply
Send a resume and a brief note. We'll be looking first for: a reverse-ETL flow you've deployed, a dbt pull request with your name on it, and a one-paragraph description of a time you caught an AI agent making a mistake.
If you've read MarTech job descriptions before and thought, "Half of this is just administrative work in disguise"—and you've quietly rebuilt the system from scratch on the side—apply. If you need a request for information (RFI) from 12 vendors before making a decision, this isn't the role for you.
How you operate
You’re fluent in SQL and can write the JOIN query that resolves an audience definition issue without needing to ask for help. You use Python and PySpark on Databricks as your core tools—turning bronze into gold, building identity logic, and deploying notebooks to production. Not a plus. A requirement.
You talk in terms of audiences, traits, and events. Not lists, properties, and campaigns.
You can sketch out a high-level server-side consent flow on a whiteboard without taking notes.
You're comfortable being the sole expert on tools that no one else in the company understands yet.
You can say no to one-off regional requests that don't fit the audience model—and you can do so politely.
Helpful but not required
Reverse-ETL combined with a warehouse-native CDP is now in production.
Multi-brand or multi-market activation experience.
Experience with headless CMS in production.
Experience working alongside AI agents in a production environment—not just prompting Claude.
Dutch — most of the team communicates in Dutch. A plus, but not a requirement.
Not what we're looking for
A HubSpot or Marketo administrator who wants to expand into MarTech. The mental model doesn't translate.
A "marketing automation specialist" whose main tool is a marketing cloud UI.
Someone who views AI agents as competition, or as a magic 10× button. Both approaches lead to the same negative outcome.
A vendor demo enthusiast — the key architectural decisions have already been made.
A campaign manager—that's a different role.
Anyone who needs to request information from 12 vendors before they can make a decision.
Anyone who needs to be told what good looks like.
